Polygonum multiflorum is a plant, in science referred to as Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. It is used in Chinese traditional medicine as a medicinal product. The Chinese name “He-Shu-Wu” (He Shou Wu) translates as “black-haired Mr. Hee”. It is said that the medicine was named in reference to the transformative, youth-restoring effect it had on “Mr. Hee” when he discovered this herbal remedy. It is also referred to as the Chinese knotweed and is known as Fo-Ti (Fo-Ti). This popular herbal medicine is used all over the world-often to promote health and masculinity, as well as to treat various diseases. The plant itself is a variety of grapes. After harvesting, the leaves, roots and root tubers are separated and combined with other ingredients to prepare remedies for various diseases.
