Apigenin is a flavonoid compound. It is mainly found in the plants of the Selaginaceae, Verbenaceae, and Selaginella family, and is widely distributed in vegetables and fruits in the temperate tropics, especially in celery. A large number of studies have found that apigenin has a variety of biological activities such as anti-tumor, cardio-cerebral vascular protection, anti-virus, and anti-bacterial.
