L-leucine, also known as leucine, is chemically named α-aminoisocaproic acid. Proust was first isolated from cheese in 1819. Later, Braconnot obtained its crystal from the acid hydrolysate of muscle and wool and named it leucine. L-leucine is one of the eighteen common amino acids and one of the eight essential amino acids in the human body. In addition, because L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-picoline are both in the molecular structure It contains a methyl side chain and is called branched chain amina acids (BCAA).
