Lactobacillus casei (L. casei) is a short rod-shaped or long rod-shaped pleomorphic bacillus, with different lengths and generally less than 1.5μm in width. The two ends of the bacteria are flat and square, and the arrangement is mostly short chains or long chains. Sometimes you can also see spherical bacteria. Gram staining is positive, no motility, and no spores. Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium are collectively referred to as the “three healthy bacteria”. It is an active microbial food material that is beneficial to human health.
