Rose essential oil is the basic medicinal ingredient of roses. The yellow-brown rose essential oil is extracted within 24 hours after the rose flowers are picked in the early morning. About five tons of flowers can only extract two pounds of rose oil, so it is one of the most expensive essential oils in the world. Rose essential oil is a world-renowned high-grade concentrated essence, a fine product among essential oils, and an important and expensive raw material for the manufacture of high-grade and precious perfumes. It is not only used to make cosmetics such as beauty, skin care, hair care, etc.

In beverage applications, rose essential oil provides a natural, sophisticated floral note that enhances both taste and aroma across a wide range of product categories—including sparkling waters, herbal teas, alcoholic beverages, dairy drinks, and functional sodas. Water-soluble or pre-emulsified versions are recommended to ensure even dispersion, clarity, and stability, with typical usage levels between 0.01% and 0.05%. The oil performs well across a pH range of 3.0 to 7.0 and is generally compatible with pasteurization conditions (brief exposure up to 85°C). Light-protective packaging is recommended to preserve the aromatic integrity of the final product.
3.Cosmetics & Personal Care
Rose essential oil is widely used in cosmetics and personal care formulations for its natural fragrance and skin-conditioning properties. It is incorporated into facial creams, serums, eye creams, and overnight masks at 0.1–0.8% to provide a delicate floral scent and skin-feel enhancement. In body care and hair care products—including lotions, massage oils, shampoos, and scalp treatments—it serves as a natural aromatic modifier with additional skin-conditioning characteristics. Due to its volatility, the oil should be added during the cool-down phase of manufacturing (below 45°C) to preserve its aromatic compounds. For water-based or transparent formulations, a natural solubilizer or pre-emulsification step is recommended to maintain product clarity.
